Debt Investments

Since early 2008, ViaWest has been actively pursuing debt investments of sub-performing and defaulted notes of commercial real estate.

The financial markets are in the midst of a de-leveraging process that will take many years. This will create ongoing investment opportunities in commercial real estate debt, both in buying existing debt and originating new loans. ViaWest’s approach is to identify debt investments in properties in which our basis in the debt will be substantially below the price we would be comfortable owning the property.
